Turkmen President Reviews Galkynysh Construction

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has said that Turkmenistan has and should move steadily to introduce its gas to the European market.

Quoted by The Journal of Turkish Weekly, the president said yesterday that the introduction of Turkmenistan's gas fields must be done in a timely manner with industry charged with meeting its targets punctually.

"The timely implementation of projects in this area is provided by the strategic plans of Turkmenistan on the steadily increasing the supply of Turkmen energy resources to international markets, as well as the diversification of export routes," the Journal quoted him as saying.

Particular among these fields that must be developed strategically is the Galkynysh field, the president said as he reviewed the construction targets and achievements of that field.
