Tullow Confirms Heavey Handover

UK-based Africa-focused producer Tullow Oil has confirmed that Dorothy Thompson, former CEO of UK generator Drax, was appointed chair of Tullow's board July 20, as expected.

She succeeds Aidan Heavey, Tullow's founder, who has today stepped down as chairman and retired from the board.

Heavey was Tullow's CEO for 31 years until April 26 2017 when Paul McDade replaced him and Heavey became chair. The latter's handover as chair to Thompson was announced in April 2018.
