Total Not Opposed to South Pars Transfer

Total said August 13 that a process to transfer its stake in the South Pars 11 project in Iran is not complete, but that it is not going to oppose it. Iran said at the weekend it will transfer the stake to China's CNPC.

"The contractual process is still ongoing and for our part, we have not been informed of an official CNPC position but, as we have always indicated, CNPC, a Chinese state-owned company, has the right to take over our participation if CNPC decides it. "
