Tokyo Gas Unit Wins Taiwan Terminal Feed Work

Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation (TGES), a unit of Tokyo Gas, has been awarded a front end engineering design (Feed) contract by Taiwan’s CPC Corporation for an expansion project of its LNG receiving terminal at Yung An, Tokyo Gas said July 25. TGES will carry out the Feed in 2019.

The receiving terminal has been in operation since 1990 and has been expanded twice in the past. Tokyo Gas said gas demand in Taiwan is expected to grow rapidly in coming years as it promotes gas-fired power plants to meet environmental concerns.

The Yung An LNG receiving terminal’s present capacity is 9mn metric tons/year and at Yongan Township, Kaohsiung.
