Tlou Gets More Time to File 100 MW Project

Australia and London ASX-listed Tlou Energy, which aims to develop coal bed methane (CBM) in Botswana, said August 24 it has been granted another month to file important project documents.

It said the deadline for submitting its formal proposal to Botswana's minerals and energy ministry -- relating to development of up-to-100MW of CBM-fuelled pilot power plants there -- has been further extended from August 23 to September 20 2017.

The company had already secured an extension from its original July 12 deadline for submitting its proposal, because some supporting documentation had yet to be released by the government.

"Whilst this new submission date will put back the evaluation of bids, Tlou Energy is encouraged by the fact that the ministry takes the bid process very seriously and that in light of the fact that CBM is a new industry, they have decided to give bidders the maximum time possible to submit proposals," the company said.
