Timor-Leste pens PSC with Eni for Block P

Timor-Leste’s national petroleum authority, Autoridade Nacional do Petroleo (ANP), has signed a production sharing contract (PSC) for TL-SO-22-23 (Block P), offshore Timor Leste, with Italy’s Eni, ANP announced on December 14.

The work programme includes 2D and 3D seismic acquisition and a one well commitment in the first exploration period. The PSC lies adjacent to the Greater Sunrise field.

The Timor-Leste government recently granted the Sunrise joint venture, comprising state-owned Timor Gap, Australia's Woodside Energy, and Japan's Osaka Gas, the green light to commence work on a concept study for the development of the Greater Sunrise fields.

The Sunrise development, located approximately 450 km north-west of Darwin and 150 km south of Timor Leste, comprises the Sunrise and Troubadour gas and condensate fields. The fields contain an estimated contingent resource of 5.3 trillion ft3 of dry gas and 226mn barrels of condensate.
