Thai Egat to Import Spot LNG Cargo: Press

Thai state-owned Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egas) will import its first spot LNG cargo in December, Reuters reported October 21 citing Thai energy ministry statement.

Egat will import two LNG cargoes, each of 65,000 metric tons, one in December and the second in April, energy minister Sontirat Sontijirawong said in a statement. He said the first import would serve as part of an initial test run.

Earlier this month, Egat said about 40 companies had expressed interest in supplying Thailand with spot LNG.
