Temasek's Pavilion Energy Inks LNG Supply Deal With BP

Temasek portfolio company Pavilion Energy said Wednesday it will source 0.4 Million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of LNG from BP for a tenure of 20 years starting from 2019.

According to the deal signed between Pavilion’s wholly owned subsidiary Pavilion Gas and BP, the fuel will come from BP’s stakes in Freeport LNG, Houston, United States and its global portfolio supply.

"This deal is part of our continued effort to enhance and diversify our LNG portfolio to deliver sustainable and competitive LNG supply to Asia," said Seah Moon Ming, Chief Executive Officer, Pavilion Energy and Pavilion Gas.

This is Singapore based company's second long-term LNG deal. In June, French energy firm Total signed a 10 year, 0.7 million tonnes per year LNG supply deal with Pavilion Gas. Fuel supply is expected to commence in 2018.
