TechnipFMC Lands Karish North Work

London-headquartered TechnipFMC has received a letter of award from Mediterranean producer Energean for development work at the Karish North gas field off Israel, it said on February 23.

TechnipFMC will design, manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment including the subsea production system, rigid flowlines and umbilicals, for a tieback to the Energean Power floating production storage and offloading unit, and for a second gas export riser.

Energean took a final investment decision on Karish North in January. The field is due on stream in the second half of 2023 and will flow 3bn m3/year of gas at full capacity, complementing flow from Energean's Karish and Tanin deposits.

TechnipFMC recently also won an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract for at subsea tieback at the offshore North El Amriya and North Idku project in Egypt, which Energean sanctioned last month as well.
