Tauron Signs Letter of Intent with PGNiG

Polish state gas company PGNiG says it has signed a letter of intent with power group Tauron for a long-planned 400 MW gas-fired power block.

The block will be situated at Tauron's Lagisza power facility near Bedzin in the south of Poland.

The Lagisza block will be the second joint project by PGNiG and Tauron after the two launched the construction of a gas-fired plant in Stalowa Wola earlier this year.

In a statement on PGNiG's website, both parties said that had been a successful collaboration and they wished to continue their expansion of gas-fired electricity projects.
