Daily News Tanzania: Power Assured With Switch to Gas

Energy and Minerals Minister George Simbachawene told reporters here that the goal of generating 335 megawatts (mw) from all the four gas plants at Ubungo, Kinyerezi, Tegeta and Songas will be met by October 20 when connection to the national grid would have been effected.

“This will end electricity shortages in the country,’’ the minister declared when addressing reporters on the new development here.
