Strike signs gas supply pact with Perth Energy

Sydney-listed Strike Energy has entered into an agreement to supply a total of 14.6 petajoules of gas to Perth Energy for a period of five years starting 2024, it said on April 6.

The gas will be sourced from Perth basin and delivered into the Western Australian (WA) gas transportation network. The commencement of the supply is subject to conditions which are usual for a developer of greenfield gas resources, Strike said.

"Strike’s domestic gas marketing has confirmed the competitive environment for buyers to secure new long term gas supply agreements, which is being reflected in the WA spot market, with the highest gas prices seen since 2013," Strike CEO Stuart Nicholls said.

"Strike expects these dynamics to continue as it looks to develop and secure additional market share through the commercialisation of its portfolio of Perth Basin gas discoveries," he added.
