South Pars Phase 19 is More Than 85% Complete

Phase 19 of the South Pars gas field in Iran is 85.5 percent complete, Shana News quoted an official as saying last week.

Hamid-Reza Masoudi, official in charge of the development project, said well drilling at Phase 19 of the offshore field, shared by Iran and Qatar, is 90 percent complete, adding that the drilling is expected to be over in a month.

The refinery, offshore platforms and pipelines for this phase are on average 80 percent complete, the official said, reported Shana.

Phase 19 is being operated by an Iranian consortium comprising Petropars and Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC).

This phase is likely to produce 50 mcm/d of sweet gas, 75,000 b/d of gas condensate, 400 tons a day of sulfur, 1.05 million tons a year of liquefied gas and 1 million tons a year of ethane.
