South Hook and Conoco Sign UK Gas Deal

South Hook Gas has signed a framework agreement for access to spare LNG import capacity with ConocoPhillips. This will increase the amount of liquefied natural gas (LNG) that may be delivered into the United Kingdom, helping to meet the country’s energy needs.

South Hook Gas already delivers gas to ExxonMobil Gas Marketing Europe and to Total Gas & Power from the South Hook LNG terminal in South Wales. This agreement with ConocoPhillips is an additional way for South Hook Gas to provide gas import services to the UK market.

Rashid Al-Marri, General Manager at South Hook Gas said, “We are committed to helping the UK to maintain a competitive gas market and a diverse and secure supply of energy.”

South Hook Gas has supplied gas every day into the UK market since the commencement of operations in 2009 and has the ability to supply around 20% of the UK’s gas requirements.
