SOCAR Commissions New Caspian Sea Well

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has commissioned a new gas production well in the Caspian Sea, it has announced today.

The production well will be placed on the offshore Guneshli field in the Azerbaijan section of the Caspian Sea. The company says the well is producing  140,000 cubic metres of gas and 10 tons of condensate daily from a shallow drill of between 3,665-3,625 metres. 

The drilling of the well was untertaken by the joint venture of SOCAR-AQS.
