Sinopec's Yuanba Gas Field Passes Milestone

Sinopec-operated Yuanba gas field has achieved an operational milestone with cumulative production reaching 20bn m3, the company said on January 26.

At present, the Yuanba gas field produces 12mn m3/day of raw gas, which is sufficient to meet the gas demand of more than 10mn households/day, the company said. The field, located in southwestern China's Sichuan province, became operational in late-2014.

According to Sinopec, Yuanba gas field is one of the important resource bases for the gasification of the Yangtze River economic belt, which stretches from Sichuan province to Shanghai. It covers many fast-growing cities like Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanchang and Nanjing.
