Sinopec’s Tianjin Terminal Unloads Over 5mn mt of LNG

Sinopec’s Tianjin LNG import terminal has unloaded more than 5mn metric tons of LNG since the start of the year, Sinopec said October 29.

The terminal has supplied 1.17mn mt of LNG via tanker trucks and 5.6bn m3 of regasified LNG through pipeline to customers downstream, Sinopec said.

The terminal began commercial operations in February 2018 with a cargo from Australia. It supplies to downstream customers in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong.

In addition to its Tianjin terminal, Sinopec operates a terminal at Beihai and at Qingdao in Shandong province.
