Sinopec's Tianjin Terminal Hits Milestone

Sinopec’s Tianjin LNG receiving terminal has unloaded 4.6mn metric tons of LNG and supplied over 5bn m3 of regasified LNG to customers downstream since the start of operations in February last year, Sinopec said April 28.

The terminal began commercial operations in February last year with a cargo from Australia. Its capacity is 3mn mt/year and can supply 4bn m³/yr of regasified LNG to downstream customers in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong.

In addition to its Tianjin terminal, Sinopec operates a terminal at Beihai and at Qingdao in Shandong province.
