Sinopec's Qingdao Terminal Hits Milestone

Sinopec-operated Qingdao LNG import terminal, located in east China’s Shandong province, has achieved operational milestone.

The terminal January 31 received its 200th LNG ship since the start of operations in November 2014, Sinopec said February 1. The terminal has processed 14.2 million metric tons of LNG since November 2014.

In August last year, Sinopec said second phase of the terminal has been officially approved by Shandong provincial government. Once the second phase is complete, terminal’s handling capacity will double to 7mn mt/yr.
