Sinopec's Qingdao-Nanjing Pipe 66% Complete

Sinopec has completed 350-km (66% of the total length) of the Qingdao-Nanjing gas pipeline three months ahead of schedule, it said September 30 in a statement.

The pipeline has a total length of 531-km and starts from Sinopec Qingdao LNG receiving terminal in northern China and will end at its Nanjing gas station in the eastern-central part of the country. It will pass through seven major cities in Shandong and Jiangsu provinces. The pipeline will have the capacity to transport 7.2bn m3/year of gas.

Work on the project started in June this year and is expected to be completed at the end of October 2020, Sinopec said.
