Sinopec's Puguang Field Output to Reach 10 bcm This Year

Natural Gas production at Sinopec’s Puguang gas field in southwest China’s Sichuan province will reach 10 bcm this year.

The field’s average output stands at 27m-30m cbm/day so far this year, and production is exceeding 30m cbm/day at present, ICIS reported citing a company statement. If the present productivity continues, the field will achieve the 10bn cbm/year target set by the company for this year.

The field has produced 20.1 bcm of gas till early September, since starting production in late 2010.

Puguang field mainly supplies gas to the east of the country through pipelines.
