Sinopec to Ramp up Gas Supplies During Winter

Chinese state-run Sinopec will ramp up gas supplies during the winter season spanning from November 15 to March 15, it said on November 16 in a statement.

The company will supply 20bn m3 during the winter season, up 5.3% yr/yr. Most of the supplies will come from fields such as Puguang, Yuanba, Fuling, Weirong, and Daniudi. Sinopec also plans to increase spot purchases of LNG and expects its Tianjin and Qingdao import terminals to receive 9bn m3 of the fuel during winter.

The company will work with other state-run companies PetroChina and Cnooc to further broaden access to resources and enhance the supply capacity to local markets, it said.
