Sinopec Tianjin Terminal Receives Over 6mn mt of LNG

Sinopec’s Tianjin LNG import terminal has unloaded more than 6mn metric tons of LNG (90 cargoes) since the start of commercial operations in February last year, Sinopec said July 18.

In May this year, the terminal received 10 LNG cargoes, a record for a single month, Sinopec said last month. The terminal began commercial operations in February 2018 with a cargo from Australia. It supplies to downstream customers in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong.

In addition to its Tianjin terminal, Sinopec operates a terminal at Beihai and at Qingdao in Shandong province.
