Sinopec Moves Forward with Qingdao-Nanjing Pipe

Sinopec September 11 said it has completed welding work on 300-km of Qingdao-Nanjing gas pipeline and plans to complete welding 350 km before the end of this month.

With gas transmission capacity of 7.2bn m3/year, the 531-km pipeline starts from Sinopec's Qingdao LNG terminal and ends at Nanjing gas station. It will pass through seven cities in Shandong and Jiangsu provinces. The project is planned to be completed before the end of October 2020, Sinopec said.

Work on the Qingdao-Nanjing gas pipeline started in June this year. Sinopec said the commissioning of the pipeline will help in enhancing gas supply to north and east China.
