Sinopec Commissions Beihai Terminal-Liuzhou Pipe

Chinese state-owned Sinopec November 25 commissioned a 529-km pipeline connecting its Beihai LNG import terminal to the city of Liuzhou in north-central Guangxi province, it said November 29.

The gas pipeline, Sinopec said, is a key national project covering seven cities of Guangdong and Guangxi provinces.

Sinopec operates three receiving terminals in China: Tianjin in the city of Tianjin , Beihai in Guangxi province and Qingdao in Shandong province. The state-owned company in August said it will increase spot LNG purchases to ensure gas supplies are sufficient, especially in northern China, during the winter season.
