Shearwater Loses Two Apac Projects

Shearwater GeoServices April 14 said it has received project termination notices for two contracts in the Asia Pacific region.

“The first includes a short project for Woodside in Australia which was part of the award announced on 18 November 2019. The second covers a survey for Reliance in India announced on 28 January 2020,” it said.

The Woodside project was the largest-ever 4D seismic campaign in the Asia Pacific region, covering up to six fields. The Reliance contract was a 3D broadband marine seismic acquisition contract with the survey covering 1,500 km2 of block KG-UDWHP-2018/1 in the offshore Krishna-Godavari basin.

The projects are terminated as per client’s rights within the respective contracts, Shearwater said.
