Shale Ban Reportedly Has Backing of French President
Le Figaro is reporting that French President Nicolas Sarkozy supports the proposed legislation to prohibit the development of shale gas in France and to revoke permits already granted.
The newspaper cited remarks made by the Head of the State to members of the UMP political party.
A preliminary report recommend a thorough evaluation of shale gas deposits in France be conducted before making a decision on whether to ban their use. (Read More HERE)
