Saudi Aramco Mulls Entry into LNG Trading: Press

Saudi Aramco’s shipping arm Bahri has issued an expression of interest (EoI) to charter up to 12 LNG carriers from 2025, Reuters cited sources as saying on December 9.

The EoIs are only preliminary enquiries and may not result in finalised charter contracts. But they indicate Aramco is considering branching out into LNG trading as part of plans to increase gas production and potentially expand its LNG investments, Reuters said.

Bahri’s fleet currently comprises 90 vessels including 43 very large crude carriers and 36 chemical/product tankers.
