Samsung Heavy Gets LNG Carrier Order

South Korean Samsung Heavy Industries has received an order to build an LNG carrier, it said May 3 without naming the shipowner.

The order is worth won 222bn ($190mn) and the delivery date for the vessel is scheduled for March 2022, it said.

Samsung Heavy has won orders worth $2.6bn for eight LNG carriers, including this one, and one FPSO this year. This is 33% of the company’s order target for 2019, it said.
