Saipem Wins Contracts Totalling $500mn

Italian oil field services company Saipem has won a round of engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contracts for oil and gas operations worth in excess of $500mn, it said February 6. The gas contracts include the offshore installation of a 70-km gas pipeline connecting the Alen Platform to Punta Europa on the coast of Equatorial Guinea, for Noble Energy.

Oil contracts include the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of a 36-inch carbon steel pipeline into the existing network around Saudi Aramco’s crude loading terminal at Ju’aymah. Offshore Angola, it won a contract from Italian operator Eni for the EPCI of risers, production flowlines, jumpers and the installation of a subsea production system for the Agogo and Cabaco oilfields.

Saipem said the awards confirmed the “diversified nature of our core market segments” and were a “good start to the year.”
