RWE Ships First LNG Cargo to GB

German gas and power group RWE was due to deliver its first batch of LNG to the UK today, according to a company statement on November 4.

The 150,000-m3 cargo is to be regasified at an LNG import terminal in Milford Haven and suppled to RWE’s nearby 2,000-MW Pembroke B gas-fired power plant. It was procured by RWE’s gas and LNG trading division from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in the Gulf of Mexico.

RWE one of Great Britain’s largest gas-fired power generation firms, meeting around 7% of its annual gas demand.
