Roxi Receives Final Gas Flaring Consent in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan-based Roxi Petroleum has announced that it has has received notification that it has received the final government approval necessary for its gas flaring programme on the NW Konys Field.

The company says that its operating company, Galaz and Company, has received consent from the Ministry of Oil & Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan to gas flare for the period 2012 to 2014. The decision is the final consent needed to begin pilot production on the NW Konys Field.

Roxi says that it expects to put wells NK4 and NK6 into pilot production in the first quarter of 2012.

"We and our partner LGI are now in a position to commence pilot production from two of our wells on NW Konys and at the same time will test the outcome of wells NK 9 and NK 10 in early in 2012," CEO of Roxi David Wilkes said.
