Reliance Invites Bids for Gas from CBM Block

Reliance Industries has invited bids for gas from its coalbed methane (CBM) block located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, it said in a public notice issued on February 24.  

The company has sought bids for 0.82mn m3/day of gas from its Sohagpur West CBM block. Users have been asked to quote a percentage of dated Brent. Bids cannot be lower than 9.5% of the Brent price. The auction is slated for March 18. 

According to the notice, the gas produced from the block will be available for sale at the delivery point located at GGS 11, Sahdol, Madhya Pradesh from April 1 for a period of one year.

Reliance operates two CBM blocks in Madhya Pradesh – Sohagpur West and Sohagpur East. The blocks are connected to the national grid through the Shahdol-Phulpur gas pipeline.
