Red Sky Energy to Start Drilling in Kangaroo Creek Sandstone

Red Sky Energy plans to drill a pilot well in the newly discovered Kangaroo Creek and perform a long-term production test to determine the magnitude of the project, the company said in a statement.

The company announced a significant gas discovery in Kangaroo Creek, a highly prospective gas target located in the Clarence Moreton Basin in northeast New South Wales.

The Talma pilot well will drill out the existing fragmented Talma-1 core hole and expose the Kangaroo Creek formation over a 90 metre interval, from 480 metres to 570 metres deep.

Red Sky Energy Limited  is an oil and gas exploration company that is focused on coal seam gas (CSG). It has prospective acreage in the Clarence Moreton Basin in New South Wales and the Eromanga Basin in Queensland.
