PTTEP reports leakage at Zawtika pipeline in Myanmar

Thai state-owned PTTEP on August 1 said that Zawtika’s onshore pipeline has developed a leakage and gas deliveries to Thailand had been suspended. The project, located offshore Myanmar, is operated by its subsidiary, PTTEP International.

“To ensure operational safety, PTTEP International has promptly isolated the gas pipeline and temporarily suspended gas delivery from the Zawtika project to Thailand. The preliminary investigation found no trace of explosion or fire,” the company said.
