Po Valley Energy Completes Initial Testing at Discovery in Central Italy

Po Valley Energy has completed initial testing of the Quaternary gas bearing level of the Gradizza-1 well in the La Prospera licence, reads a note released on Thursday.

‘The Company will take the next few months to review the data and consider rigless testing to better evaluate the real reservoir capability,’ reads the press release referring to the licence north of Bologna, Italy.

The well has been single completed with a gravel pack. No formation water was associated with gas production during the test.

The clean-up process in not complete and the flow rate is expected to improve once clean-up is achieved.

The Gradizza structure is located in the Ferrara province north of Bologna and consists in a sandstone Quaternary target at a total measured depth of 1,000 metres.  The company  has commenced drilling activities in mid August
