Platts: Thailand's PTT to Receive First Term-LNG in H1 January

Thailand's national oil and gas company PTT is expecting its first long-term contractual delivery from Qatari supplier Qatargas in the first half of January, a source close to the buyer said this week.

The delivery is part of a long-term LNG Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) signed in December 2012 for the supply of 2 million mt/year of LNG (2.64 Bcm/yr or 93.4 Bcf/yr of gas) over 20 years.

The deal, Thailand's only long-term SPA, was agreed at a price pegged to the basket of crudes in the Japanese crude cocktail, Platts has reported.

PTT also signed a preliminary deal with US-headquartered Anadarko Petroleum in December 2013 for the supply of 2.6 million mt/yr of LNG from Mozambique. MORE
