PGNIG Supplies Ukrainian Industrial Market

Polish state-run oil and gas group PGNiG said August 4 it had begun supplying ERU Trading, the largest privately-owned energy trader in Ukraine and a subsidiary of Energy Resources of Ukraine. Deliveries will go to supply Ukrainian industrial customers.

PGNiG wholesale trading executive director Bartlomiej Korzeniewski said the start of supplies under the contract with ERU Trading confirmed that PGNiG’s terms are competitive.

ERU commercial director Yaroslav Mudryy said: “Our cooperation with the largest Polish energy company PGNiG is an important step to help ERU Trading diversify our supply portfolio and provide our customers with a reliable and affordable natural gas deliveries in Ukraine. We believe that cooperation will help further develop natural gas market and help integrate Ukraine into European energy markets as a whole.”

PGNIG said in April that it intended not only to diversify its import portfolio more widely, but also place more of its gas into foreign markets.
