Petronet to Finalise Tellurian Deal This Month: Press

Indian Petronet LNG will finalise the deal to pick up an equity stake in the Tellurian’s Driftwood LNG export project during US president Donald Trump’s visit to New Delhi later this month, Reuters reported February 3 citing two sources.

In September last year, Tellurian signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Petronet LNG to negotiate the supply of up to 5mn metric tons/year of LNG from Driftwood project. As per the MoU, Petronet LNG, India's biggest LNG importer, was also to pick up an equity stake in the project.

According to Reuters, Petronet will invest the money over a five-year period in Tellurian’s proposed $27.5bn export project in Louisiana.
