Petronas to Supply LNG to Thai Egat

Thai state-owned Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) has selected Malaysian Petronas to supply two cargoes of LNG, Egat said November 27 in a statement.

Petronas will supply two cargoes of 65,000 metric tons each with the first cargo expected to arrive at Map Ta Phut receiving terminal between December 28-31 while the second cargo is expected to arrive in April next year, the company said.

According to Egat, Petronas offered the lowest price among the 12 bids. At present, the state-run utility buys all its LNG from PTTEP.
