Petronas makes six oil, gas discoveries offshore Malaysia

Petronas Carigali, a wholly owned subsidiary of state-owned Petronas, has made six oil and gas discoveries in five blocks off the coast of Sarawak, Malaysia, Petronas said on July 21.

The discoveries were made in different blocks, including Block SK306, Block SK411 (in the Balingian province), Block SK313, Block SK301B, and Block SK315 (in the West Luconia province).

These discoveries were a result of a domestic exploration drilling campaign that began in late 2022. Among the discoveries was Nahara-1 in Block SK306, which was a significant oil discovery by Petronas Carigali within the last decade, Petronas said.
