Petrolife, Petronas sign gas deal

Malaysian gas shipper Petrolife has inked an agreement with state-run Petronas for the supply of natural gas, it said on February 10 in a statement.

Petronas Energy & Gas Trading (PGET), a unit of Petronas, will provide natural gas supply to Petrolife for a five-year period beginning January 1. It did not provide the value of the deal or the volume of gas that will be supplied.

“The agreement cements Petrolife’s position as one of several shippers of natural gas in Malaysia, following the full liberalisation of the non-power sector natural gas market under the third-party access mechanism from 2022 onwards,” it said.
