Petrofac wins North Sea contract extension from NEO

UK oilfield services firm Petrofac announced on January 25 it had secured a five-year contract extension from NEO Energy in the UK North Sea.

Over the extra time, Petrofac will provide well management and well operator support for 27 wells across the Affleck, Balloch, Dumbarton, Lochranza and Finlaggan fields in the UK central North Sea. The contract also positions Petrofac for future well construction and intervention campaigns, it said.

"As well operator for over 50 wells on behalf of seven clients, including NEO Energy, this award allows us to build on our exemplary track record of delivering Well Operator services in the UK continental shelf," the company said.

The new deal builds on a contract for integrated services that Petrofac secured from NEO that came into effect in 2020 and was extended in early 2021.
