PetroChina Reports Gas Find in Sichuan Basin
PetroChina’s southwest subsidiary has made a gas discovery with an estimated resource of over 1 trillion m3 in the Sichuan province, PetroChina said on May 7.
The PetroChina Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company completed a successful test in Daying County, and reported an output of 1.2mn m3/day. The discovery is close to the gas field in the Sichuan basin’s Gaoshiti-Moxi area where natural gas production capacity is 15bn m3/year, the company said.
