Pavilion Energy Plans Small Scale LNG Solutions for Southeast Asia

Singapore’s Pavilion Energy plans to start small-scale LNG solutions in Southeast Asia, CEO Seah Moon Ming said Tuesday.

While speaking at the 7th LNG Asia Pacific Summit he disclosed that the company has already started discussions with several partners in markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines, reported Business Times newspaper.

In the past five years, 65 per cent of all contracts were signed for volumes below one million tons a year, and some European terminals have started to offer LNG bunkering, truck loading, re-exports and small-scale services, he said.

He added that for Southeast Asia, with many small islands, it makes sense to use small vessels of 10,000 cubic metres in capacity - carrying about 0.05-0.5 million tonnes a year of LNG - to make deliveries across various locations, Business Times reported.
