Pakistan to Get Iranian Gas in 2014

Natural gas supplies from Iran to Pakistan are expected to begin by December 2014, reports in the media said.

Pakistani official have said that route survey of Iran-Pakistan pipeline project has been completed and the process of land acquisition is being carried out.

The country is facing severe gas shortage as demand exceeds supply. Current gas production in the country is over 4 billion cubic feet per day whereas the demand is over 6 BCFD.
