    Pakistan picks suppliers for eight LNG cargoes

Pakistan picks suppliers for eight LNG cargoes

State-owned Pakistan LNG has finalised the suppliers who will deliver eight LNG cargoes from April to June, it said on March 30. The company launched the tender on March 20.  

Italy’s Eni put in the lowest bid for the delivery of one consignment on April 30, another consignment on May 26-27 and one more on June 18-19 at the rate of $6.7/mn btu. QP Trading was selected to deliver two more cargoes, the first on May 11-12 at the rate of $6.825/mn btu and the other on May 16-17 at the rate of $6.925/mn btu, Pakistan LNG said.

Vitol will make a delivery on May 31 at the rate of $6.7832/mn btu, while PetroChina will make two deliveries, one on June 8-9 at $6.835/mn btu and the second on June 27-28, at the rate of $6.885/mn btu, Pakistan LNG said.  

Pakistan has two import terminals – one operated by Pakistan GasPort and one by Elengy. Both are at Port Qasim near Karachi.
