Pakistan Picks Latest Spot LNG Suppliers

Pakistan has selected Trafigura to supply two, and Gunvor one, spot LNG cargo in its latest regular import tender, its state importer said December 6.

Pakistan LNG needed three cargoes for specific time slots from late January until late February 2019. It chose Trafigura as best bidder for its Jan.21-22 arrival cargo, with a bid price of 14.4% of the Brent oil price, and its Feb.21-22 cargo at 14.79% of Brent. Gunvor was the best bidder for the middle slot, the Feb.3-4 cargo at 15.77% of Brent.

At least three traders bid for all slots, but one BB Energy was disqualified because of late changes to its confirmation notice. Vitol also bid for both February slots but was unsuccessful.
