Pakistan Petroleum Limited Finds More Gas in Sindh

Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) on Tuesday announced another gas discovery from exploratory well Kinza X-1 in Gambat South block in Sindh, Pakistan.

This is the fourth discovery in the block after Wafiq, Shahdad and Sharf gas-condensate discoveries.

Exploration well Kinza X-1 was spud on July 28, 2014 and reached the final depth of 3,695 meters on September 13, 2014. Initial testing flowed 12 MMscfd gas along with condensate, the company said.

PPL is the operator of Gambat South block, with 65 percent working interest along with its joint venture partners Government Holdings (Private) Limited and Asia Resources Oil Limited with 25 percent and 10 percent working interest, respectively.
