Pakistan Petroleum Finds Gas in Sindh

Pakistan Petroleum (PPL) said August 13 it has discovered natural gas at exploratory well Yasar X-1 located in Kotri block (2468-12) in Sujawal district of Sindh province.

The well flowed 3.2mn ft3/d of gas and 475 b/d of condensate, PPL said in a stock exchange filing. Yasar X-1 was spud June 22 and reached final depth of 2,720 meters July 10.

“The well is being flowed at different choke sizes to measure the gas flow rates. Actual flow potential of the well will be determined after completion of the test,” PPL said.
